Billionaire is a highly adaptable hospitality and entertainment venue where dining, live performance, and nightlife converge within a single, continuously transforming environment. Our lighting design was developed in close collaboration with client, design team and show director. Flexibility was fundamental to the lighting scheme supporting multiple distinct modes of operation: an intimate, refined atmosphere for dinner service; a high-impact, technically driven environment for live shows; and a fully immersive club setting for late-night performances with a DJ.

A layered control strategy underpins this flexibility. The architectural lighting is managed via a Lutron control system, providing intuitive scene-setting and precise control for front-of-house operations. For live performances, the system integrates directly with a GrandMA lighting console, enabling full theatrical control, complex cueing, and dynamic effects. At the DJ booth, a dedicated MIDI controller allows the DJ to actively interact with the lighting in real time, synchronising light, music, and energy.

Extensive use of pixel LED lighting forms the backbone of the visual experience. These elements deliver dynamic, animated effects that respond to the changing character of the venue, creating a fully immersive environment that surrounds guests with colour, movement, and rhythm. The result is a lighting design that is not only visually striking, but operationally robust and creatively open-ended—capable of supporting fine dining, spectacle, and high-energy nightlife within a single, cohesive system.
