Gezellig is a Dutch word that’s best translated as ‘an atmosphere, which allows good times to happen’. To create this atmosphere great restaurant lighting is essential.

Sometimes retro-fitting or upgrading an existing installation is much harder than starting a new, and this was the challenge we faced on this project.  The site was a former restaurant in need of a complete lighting upgrade with additional lighting circuits and control zones. The lighting design studio ensured existing products were repurposed and new, cost effective, energy efficient, fittings were sympathetic to this historic grade II listed building. The existing lighting control system was refurbished, adapted and recommissioned to reduce costs and waste.
